This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, release anyone, post bond, or pull official booking records. For an authoritative answer, contact the government office that created or holds the record.
Start with the Clark County Sheriff and Jail
The official county contact for a Clark County Jail question is the sheriff's office. The sheriff page identifies William D. Brown and links the county's Illinois VINE route. The published jail contact is:
Clark County Sheriff William D. Brown and Clark County Jail
207 N. 5th Street
Marshall, Illinois 62441
217-826-6393
bill.brown@clarkcountyilsheriff.gov
Jail Administrator: Jay Sharp
jail.administrator@clarkcountyilsheriff.gov
No separate current records-unit phone or sheriff office hours were verified in the sources reviewed. For city safety calls after regular hours, the county E-911 page lists 217-826-3279 for non-emergency dispatch and 217-826-3339 for business matters. Emergencies use 911.
Use the following official paths according to the custody or record question:
- Current county custody or a release alert: Begin with the Clark County VINE link or the Illinois VINE application. VINE can show recent offenders processed into the jail, but Clark County does not publish a fixed online window or confirmed public photo policy. The home records guide explains the fallback when no result appears.
- Marshall incident or request: Start with the Marshall Police Department for an arrest made by city police. The City of Marshall forms page includes a FOIA application for a focused records request. The department page lists 201 S. Michigan Avenue and 217-826-8081.
- Casey incident or request: Use the Casey Police Department first. Its police FOIA form says a request may be delivered, mailed, or faxed to 217-330-5652, and notes that some criminal-history and traffic-accident material is restricted.
- Martinsville incident or request: The Martinsville departments page is the official police contact route, with police telephone 217-382-4023. City information places police at City Hall, 55 W. Cumberland Street. No separate online Martinsville police FOIA form was found in the reviewed sources, so ask the department or City Hall for the current route and use the Illinois FOIA process.
- Court case, disposition, or warrant question: Use the Clark County courthouse directory and the Judici court search for a case lead. The First Judicial Circuit FAQ says warrant information cannot be disclosed by telephone. The site's Sheriff's Most Wanted guide explains that court and clerk confirmation control.
- Illinois state-prison custody: Use the Illinois Department of Corrections offender search for state-prison custody and selected former-custody data. IDOC is not the county jail roster and its public search was not verified as a booking-photo source.
- Federal or immigration custody: Check the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for federal inmates and the ICE Online Detainee Locator System for current immigration detention. These separate systems do not provide a Clark County booking-photo feed.
